Good old low tech problems.

First of all, we've bought on ebay some new motors for the bot. They've arrived during this week, so next time we can try and do something on the hardware part.

Last monday, I got to the lab quite early and turned our computers on (there should have been a command line lesson before the bot meeting). Then came the first student, and luckily asked me something on his laptop. As I was answering, KABLANK beeeeeep...... beeeeeep...... beeeeeeep...... lights out, UPS crying. Our hosts tried to find and fix the problem, we turned the computers (and UPS) off, and waited.

One by one, the lifobot developers came, in the laptop twilight, we sat down in a half circle, facing our only memorial of the Great Lights of Old, a thin image of the Great Neon Lights in the Sky[esc]dbxiCeiling, lighting what we tried to work on with the small elven gems of our handphones.

So, basically, no, we haven't tone much, in the last week. After an hour and half of this, they managed to bring the light back, I begun the lesson, and the others talked about CVS and similar stuff, I think.

Good news come from sourceforge: it seems that their CVS has been fixed and anonymous access works again, even from the website (BrowseVC).
